The client
AC Hargreaves Pty Ltd is a family owned company based in Seventeen Mile Rocks, Queensland. The company specialises in the supply and repair of electric motors, pumps and transformers, operating a workshop facility where these industrial electrical components are serviced, repaired and distributed to clients across the region.
As a specialist in electrical motors and pumps, the team at AC Hargreaves has first-hand experience of the impact that dust and debris can have on precision electrical equipment, making workshop floor cleanliness an operational priority.
The challenge
Divisional Manager Michael Urban was looking for a replacement for their existing battery powered walk behind sweeper. The machine they had been running was creating a significant problem: rather than capturing and retaining dust during the sweeping process, it was scattering dust back into the facility environment. Dust retention was Michael’s biggest concern, and the existing machine was not meeting that requirement.
Michael needed a machine that would genuinely capture and hold dust during the sweep rather than redistributing it across the workshop floor and into the air around precision electrical equipment. He connected with ASC’s Rafael Rodrigues to assess the options.
The result
Rafael Rodrigues demonstrated the ASC MEP push sweeper to Michael at the Seventeen Mile Rocks facility. Michael was surprised by the machine’s performance. The ASC MEP swept the workshop floor flawlessly, capturing and retaining dust effectively and it achieved this entirely without batteries.
The ASC MEP is a manual push sweeper with its own integrated dust control system that requires no battery power to operate. For Michael, whose primary concern was dust retention and whose existing battery powered machine had been the source of the problem, the MEP’s performance without any battery dependency was a revelation.
Michael placed an order with Rafael for the ASC MEP sweeper.
