The Client
Activ Foundation is a not for profit organisation and one of WA’s biggest Disability Services providers.
They run a range of professional/personalised services, that support more than 1200 customers and employ more than 1500 people.
Established in 1951, Activ was formed by a group of families who wanted more for their children who lived with a disability and had become marginalised by society. Over time, the group grew to encompass community, employment, accommodation, training and more.
Their Property Care branch of the organisation has a facility in Ashby, WA and provides facility and property management throughout the Perth metropolitan area and regionally across the Southwest.
They provide industrial sweeping services for carparks, open spaces, internal roads as well as for indoor industrial facilities.
The Challenge
Activ’s Operations Manager, Robert Zaccaria, is in charge of industrial sweeping services for carparks, open spaces, internal roads as well as for indoor industrial facilities.
He reached out to ASC’s Luke Skrinjaric, looking to invest in a larger sweeping machine that was extra-large in capacity, able to operate and overcome any road obstacles (speed bumps etc) and high gradients, without losing operational power.
He stipulated that the machine had to be easy to operate and easy to maintain and with minimal service and maintenance costs involved.
Having purchased an ASC EUREKA M6 sweeper 5 years ago and happy with its performance, Robert was aware and accustomed with the quality and reliability of the ASC EUREKA product.
Luke presented the ASC EUREKA M8 world’s first cross-over (street/yard/factory) sweeper to Robert.
Robert debated buying a much larger ASC Macro M40 street sweeper but decided to purchase a fully optioned, ASC M8 unit with an air-conditioned cabin and front extendable (footpath) broom added.
The Result
An order was placed for an ASC M8 Sweeper.
The reason being; the quality of the product, no licence required to drive the street sweeper and the fact that it can be towed on a plant trailer, from site to site, with a basic 4WD.
