Allwood Solve Their Saw Dust & Debris Issues

Allwood WA Cabinet Making is a small, dedicated team in Bunbury producing high-quality kitchens, wardrobes and storage units. Owner Chris wanted a simple machine to work alongside the saw and planer extraction system and clear the MDF dust and offcuts that land on the floor, without the health concerns of breathing in fine dust. On a limited budget, ASC’s Ross Sheehan recommended the ASC MEP push sweeper as fully capable of handling MDF dust and debris.

Client introduction

Allwood WA Cabinet Making is based in the WA City of Bunbury. They are a small, dedicated team of experienced cabinet makers producing high quality kitchens, wardrobes, vanities and storage units for the local housing market.

The Challenge

Allwood’s owner Chris knows that breathing in MDF dust used in the manufacturing process, is not ideal.

He required a simple and easy to operate machine to work alongside the vacuum suction system used for his saws and planers.

There is always excess saw dust and other debris landing on the floor, so he was looking to sweep it with a minimal amount of fuss.

The Solution

ASC’s WA Area Manager Ross Sheehan emailed Chris with a couple of options available to him, from the ASC range of dust solutions.

He recommended either the ASC MEP push sweeper, or the battery powered ASC M1 battery sweeper.

Their budget was limited.

Given that, Ross recommended the high quality MEP sweeper as it is very much capable of handling the MDF dust and other debris, without the need for a battery machine.

The Result

Ross had several companies in Bunbury purchasing ASC machines and arranged free delivery.

At the delivery, Ross spent time with Chris and the other cabinet makers making sure they were taught how to use the sweeper.

Why manufacturing and cabinet-making businesses choose ASC

Cabinet-making and joinery workshops generate fine MDF and timber dust that is both a housekeeping and a health concern, and brooms only make it airborne. The ASC MEP push sweeper captures dust and debris effectively without the cost of a powered machine.

ASC matches the right machine to the workshop and the budget, helping manufacturing businesses keep floors clean and the working environment healthier.
